Our Story

Pulling Triggers and Pulling Corks is the melding of two Amazing Worlds, that can be enjoyed individually or combined during one event…But never at the same time.

With over four decades of experience teaching students’ firearms skills (Pulling Triggers) and more than 25 years conducting wine classes, events, and tastings (Pulling Corks) Doug discovered after a day of shooting the vast majority of his students loved to share their experience and excitement over a glass of Wine or Whiskey.

With this in mind he has designed some events that are themed to do just this. However, the majority of the events are still only one facet of the equation.

The genesis of this event was a group of Firearm, Texas BBQ, and Whiskey Enthusiasts getting together at the range, shooting then securing all firearms and enjoying BBQ and Whiskeys. That lead to themed events such as “Texas Bourne Guns and Whiskey” “Guns of John Wick” and the Greatest Christmas Movie ever… “Guns of Die Hard” with many more in the design phase.
